Cong. Lucy Torres-Gomez lowers the time capsule during the groundbreaking ceremony of the 122-million Merida-Lundag-Putingbato road that will make travel and the transport of goods from the interior barangays of the towns of Merida and Isabel easier for farmers. Some 5 kilometers, added 4th Leyte district engineer Lino Gonzales would also be concreted. He promises that with the funds that the congressman obtained through her effort and husband Richard Gomez, the people in the area will now have a very good, all weather road compared to the past when people can only walk if it rains because the roads were virtually impassable to vehicles. Even motorcycles have a hard time manuevering the slippery clay soil and huge boulders.
