ORMOC CITY – As of July 9, the vaccination report of the City Health Department (CHD) under Dr. Edmund Kierulf shows that a total of 22,027 individuals have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 5,860 are fully vaccinated.
Accordingly, 9,913 from Priority A1, who are healthcare workers/immediate family members/Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), 10,092 senior citizens who are Priority A2, and 2,022 from Priority A3 or those with Co-Morbidities have received their first jabs.
The fully vaccinated group, meanwhile, are composed of 2,826 health care workers/immediate family members/Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), 2,981 senior citizens, and 53 individuals with Co-Morbidities.
Furthermore, the same CHD report breaks down the vaccination per brand and showed that 16,372 individuals have become recipients of the Sinovac vaccine with 11,505 receiving their first dose already of the said brand while the city already has 4,867 individuals fully vaccinated with Sinovac.
As for the Astra Zeneca brand, the same report revealed that 7,983 have been vaccinated with the said brand of COVID-19 vaccine with 6,990 receiving their first dose already and 993 are fully vaccinated with Astra Zeneca.
Finally, the Pfizer vaccines that were received by the city last June 2021 were administered to a total 1,139 Ormocanons.
Accordingly, the city government does not plan to stop but will continue to ramp up its vaccination program with the coming of its Astra Zeneca COVID-19 vaccine orders and a few more donations from the national government. By Gwen Maurillo
